Dr. Moore is a school and clinical psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She works with children, adolescents, adults, and families. She has worked in a variety of settings since 2003, including inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, community mental health clinics, schools, and private practice.
Dr. Moore views her clients as being the experts on their own experience. She employs a collaborative approach in order to best understand clients’ current situation, to generate therapeutic goals, and to evaluate progress. She strives to provide a warm and nurturing atmosphere within a climate of understanding, acceptance, and respect. Her therapeutic approach is integrative and grounded in a biopsychosocial understanding of human development. She uses psychodynamic, emotion focused, cognitive-behavioural, and systems theories to understand human experience and to facilitate change. Dr. Moore has a particular interest in school psychology and devotes a significant amount of her practice to psychological and psychoeducational assessments. She also provides supervision and consultation services to other mental health professionals.
In her spare time, Dr. Moore enjoys competitive team sports, curling up with a good book, and outdoor adventure with her family.
