Ji Yoon is passionate about journeying with individuals and families as they take active steps towards healing. This is informed by her belief that every person is unique and worthy of being seen and loved. She is gifted at coming along side people and empowering them to witness their own potential and achieve their goals. Her approach is based in psychodynamic and attachment theory and incorporates cognitive behavioural and mindfulness-based practices.
Ji Yoon is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Therapists of Ontario (CRPO). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Studies as well as an M.Div in Clinical Counselling. She is also a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT).
Ji Yoon is skilled in the treatment of depression, anxiety and overcoming the effects of trauma. She works with those looking for direction and perspective in life and those struggling with relationship issues.
In her work with children, youth and young adults and their families, she incorporates a systemic and neurobiological lens to development. She is committed to working sensitively and collaboratively with people to help them experience relief and reach their goals.
Her personal journey has informed her unique perspective into the therapeutic process and in discovering her true identity. In this way, she is passionate about helping people experience healing in their lives and reaching their full potential. In her spare time, Ji Yoon enjoys travelling, café hopping and reading. She loves to learn and will usually be venturing into various rabbit holes of information and enjoying every second of it.
