Ayanna Weeks

Intern Psychotherapist

Ayanna is a warm, compassionate and dedicated person with a caring heart and a straightforward attitude. She is currently completing her Masters of Christian Counselling with Canada Christian College with a Generalist Specialization. With 7 years of experience in the education field, as well as an extensive experience in customer care services, Ayanna has a passion to help people become their best selves. She has developed a strong sense of collaboration with people of all ages, employs critical thinking skills, and use her keen attentiveness to nonverbal cues and intricate details for the benefit of her clients.

Ayanna has an integrative approach to therapy, and gravitates towards working from a Family Systems, Narrative, Multicultural, Cognitive Behavioural and Person-Centered Therapy lens. Ayanna enjoys providing therapeutic support to children and youth, adults and families. She is passionate about seeing clients holistically and empowering them to be their best selves. She has a desire to support people through a range of issues, including trauma, conflict in relationships, violence, mood disorders, grief and loss, and human trafficking.

Her passion for the culinary arts led her to complete classical training at George Brown College in both Culinary Management and as a Baking and Pastry Arts Chef. During her counselling studies, she already experimented integrating the culinary arts and baking with counselling in ways that led to positive therapeutic experiences for attendees. She hopes to continue to integrate these as occasions arise in the future.
Ayanna is a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
She hails from the island of St. Lucia, and in her free time, Ayanna loves spending time with her family, reading, writing poetry and short stories, baking and adapting new recipes.
