Linda S. Moyo
Linda (Lin) Moyo is a calm, empathetic, self-assured, reliable, and loving person who accepts people and ideas with understanding. She is currently completing her Masters of Christian Counselling with Canada Christian College.
Lin has over 25 years of experience as an executive and consultant in the fields of marketing, sales, communication, project and organizational change management. Lin has also provided leadership coaching to emerging Ministries in Africa, as well as provided pastoral counselling and ministry support to women's organizations, families, couples, and adults. Lin holds several doctoral and masters level degrees in various aspects of business, leadership and organizational development. These professional experiences have developed Lin’s attention to detail, perceptiveness and persistence.
Lin believes that therapy can be crucial to help people develop and maintain coping strategies that better equip clients to handle the many obstacles that occur throughout the course of life. Lin is passionate about helping clients develop these coping strategies during therapy sessions, so they can accept life, take on new challenges, and see themselves as an important part of society and the world. Lin’s approach to therapy is client-centred and her desire is to create a space where clients feel secure and safe in therapy. She values giving clients the freedom to be who they are, to be heard without passing judgment, to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, and to embark on a healing path that leads to wholeness.
Lin has an integrative approach to therapy and gravitates towards working from family and systemic therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approaches. Lin can assist clients by utilizing these and other modalities. She enjoys providing therapeutic support to young adults, adults families, and couples. She has a desire to support people through a range of mental, relational, and emotional issues, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, marital and familial discord, trauma and grief.
Lin always looks forward to virtual calls with her family – especially her three adult sons, visiting family, or travelling to new countries in order to experience new cultures.
