Cinthya Bacilio is a caring, loving person, and has always had a passion to help people. As a compassionate and energetic therapist, she brings extensive training in trauma and addictions treatment. Cinthya completed her Masters’s degree in Clinical Counselling at Tyndale University and has over 15 years of experience working in the healthcare system. She was a medical doctor in her home country of Mexico, supporting individuals, children, and families. Cinthya shares that her career as a doctor and her own experience as an immigrant has humbled her heart to truly be compassionate and empathetic to others’ needs. She is committed to help her clients by providing a safe, confidential, and professional environment for them.

Cinthya Bacilio utilizes a combination of different therapeutic modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Psychodynamics. She believes that each client has unique strengths that will help to empower positive change. Cinthya uses various techniques and resources that can help clients find a solution in their different circumstances. She continues to attend clinical training to enhance her therapeutic skills and her trauma training and certification includes Janina Fisher's Trauma Treatment Certification Training (CCTP), Intensive Trauma treatment certification, and Trauma Treatment with EMDR, CBT and Somatic-Based Interventions.

In addition to her professional work, Cinthya loves spending time with her 2 boys and her extended family. She enjoys planning new adventures and building memories with family and friends. She especially enjoys biking and swimming. Her first language is Spanish.
