Daniel Mathews

Intern Therapist

Daniel is a kind and empathetic person who guides people patiently and gently on their journey to healing, peace and freedom. After having completed a Bachelor's degree in Church Leadership from Nelson University in Texas, Daniel is expanding his expertise into psychotherapy as he is working towards completing an MDiv in Clinical Counseling at Tyndale University.

His passion lies in working with youth, young adults, and individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma. Daniel employs a number of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, EFT and SFT. He firmly believes that healing begins with understanding and addressing our thoughts, emotions, and circumstances, guiding us towards wholeness. He understands that life's challenges can take a significant toll on mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, and so his approach to therapy is collaborative and client-centered.

Daniel’s academic and practical experience has equipped him with core counselling skills that allow him to create a safe and supportive environment for clients with empathy, patience and approachability. His experiences have also provided him with opportunities to hone valuable leadership, presentation and teaching skills.

Daniel enjoys going to the gym, running, watching and playing football, listening to music, cracking jokes, traveling, and hanging out with friends. For Daniel, having hobbies, relationships, and new experiences is necessary to have a balanced life.
