Cheryl-Anne Diver

Registered Psychotherapist

Cheryl is a warm, compassionate therapist who believes in the deep resilience and potential within every individual—even when life feels overwhelming or uncertain. Her therapy style is gentle, curious, and grounded in trauma-informed, culturally sensitive care. She works with teens, adults, couples, and families.

Cheryl is especially passionate about supporting clients through trauma, chronic illness, infertility, grief, anxiety, depression, and relational distress. Her clinical focus also encompasses abuse and neglect, family of origin issues, spiritual wounds, and life transitions. Cheryl provides a safe place for people of diverse cultures, neurodivergence, visible and invisible disabilities, and orientations to process their experience and perspectives with depth and compassionate understanding.

Her therapeutic approach is collaborative and client-centered. Cheryl draws from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), Family Systems Theory, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices.

Before becoming a therapist, Cheryl studied animation at OCAD University and continues to bring a creative lens to her work. Cheryl is married and shares her home with her husband, a dog, and a parrot. Outside of the therapy room, she enjoys reading, writing, creating art, camping, hiking with her dog, and stargazing at Dark Sky sites.
